There are 2 main types that involve video… Hangout Video Calls and Hangouts on Air. We’ll discuss the use cases for both and see the pros and cons of each.
Lawyers can use both types for their business. How each are used will vary on the purpose of the video call. Do you want it for a specific group of people and to keep if private? Or do you want it to be seen by as many people as possible? The answer will adjust the tactics.
If you go for the public Hangouts on Air (HOA) model, then you will also want to know how to help that video get found after the live broadcast has ended. That is where Video SEO comes to play. You’ll also want to think about what the topic discussed is, as well as the keyword value of that discussion. Making transcripts of your live HOA can also be useful to help the video get discovered after it is recorded for you by YouTube.
Don’t forget that you may need to ‘package’ the HOA Live Video in an area that people can easily find and share… for that I use the Google Plus Event Tool. But that tool, if not used properly, can actually cause more trouble than it is worth, so you may want to look into some of the technical details on how to best use the Event tool in conjunction with Hangout Video Calls or Hangouts on Air.
